Our Story
Named after the historic town of Balkh, north of Kabul, our restaurant was founded with the goal of bringing authentic Afghan cuisine to the heart of New York. Since opening our doors, we’ve been proud to offer a dining experience that reflects the warmth and hospitality of Afghanistan. Our founders,
Mohammad Nasim and

The Atmosphere

One of our favorite decorations is the portrait of a famous Afghan singer – fondly known as “the Sinatra of Afghanistan.” Our friendly staff, along with our owners, make it a point to visit each table to ensure every guest feels at home.
